“Rita Hayworth gave good face”

Hey, thanks for being here!

I’m Verity (VQ if you like acronyms) and I’ve been a photographer in London for over 15 years. I capture moments, personalities and stories exactly as they happen. Whether it’s weddings, families or portraits, my focus is always on making the experience relaxed, fun and completely authentic.

I’m not just there to take photos. I’m someone you can lean on throughout the process. To sense-check ideas, calm nerves, and keep things ticking along when needed. I’ll step in with guidance when it’s useful, stay out of the way when it’s not, and make sure everything feels natural. No awkward posing, no long disappearances, just honest moments captured without disrupting the day you’re actually there to enjoy.

Your photos should feel like you. My aim is always to create relaxed, timeless images that reflect real personalities, genuine connections and the little details that make each story unique.

A few more things about me
I’m a South East Londoner who’s considering living in Whitstable. I love red wine, early 90s Madonna, and sound a little like Amy Winehouse. I’m an intersectional feminist who passionately believes in equity and female empowerment, because I really do believe it can change the world.

My main camera body is called Mrs Flax, named after Cher from Mermaids.

I’m a mum of three - Wolfin, Ostara, and Tigris - which means organisation, timing, and calm under pressure are non-negotiable skills. Managing three small humans has made me efficient, adaptable, and very hard to rattle. Weddings are honestly the easy bit.

After the confetti settles

Once the wedding’s over, my work is only just getting started.

I dive straight into editing and reliving your day again and again. You’ll get a preview of around 50 images within 48 hours, because I know waiting is the worst. I might use a bit of clever tech to remove an annoying fire exit sign, but I absolutely will not make you look airbrushed or ‘perfect’. You already look incredible as you are. My focus is to make you feel good while you’re being photographed because when you feel good, you look bloody great.

Authenticity matters. Always.

In very busy periods, your full gallery will be with you within 8 weeks max, but I’ll do everything I can to deliver closer to 3 weeks whenever possible.

The bit that really matters

My couples mean the world to me. Truly. If we chat, get excited about your plans, and leave that conversation buzzing about your impending day, then I know we’re a good fit.

I’ll send you a detailed PDF with everything you need to know. No boxes of confetti or unnecessary extras quietly pushing up the price. To keep things affordable, it’s sent digitally and packed with practical advice I’ve picked up over years working in events and weddings, all designed to help your day run smoothly and feel relaxed. You’ll also find discount codes and a list of trusted suppliers I’ve worked with and genuinely recommend.

And finally, my biggest piece of advice?
Your wedding doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s idea of a wedding.

If one of you doesn’t want to stand alone at the end of an aisle - don’t. Walk in together. Sit together at the front while guests arrive. Scrap the aisle altogether if you want. My own husband hated the idea of everyone staring at him, so he walked in with his mum ahead of me. It felt right for us.

Do what makes you happy. Make it feel like you. This day is about coming together with the people you love and who love you back, being yourselves, fully and unapologetically.

And then throwing one hell of a party!

If this feels like your kind of energy, head over to my contact page and tell me a bit about you and what you’re planning. I’d love to hear all about it.
